If clinician feels a patient needs more specialist opinion or invasive enhancement procedures then an appointment with Plastic surgeon can be arranged and subsequent treatments arranged in the clinic or local private hospital.
Facial aesthetics can involve injections but should always begin with a detailed study of the patient’s face, and Riverway provides Botulinum Toxin injections and dermal fillers with a view to accentuating the natural features of the face.
Botulinum Toxin numbs the facial muscles and dermal fillers plump up the skin with an injected solution which reduces lines, both with almost immediate results. Muscles in the face work in opposition, some lifting and others pulling down, and with age the muscles that drag the face down gain dominance with the help of gravity, so by numbing some of these muscles with Botulinum Toxin it is possible to lift the face and make it look younger, fresher with minimum intervention.
It takes up to two weeks to see the full result, although some results are evident within four to eight hours. After two weeks, the specialist will review progress and apply further touch-ups where required.
